Lions coaches, players get back to work after two canceled OTAs |
The Detroit Lions went back to work Wednesday — starting a three-day minicamp — after the team’s final two organized team activities were canceled because previous ones were deemed too intense by the NFL and players’ union. The Lions seem content to keep OLB Julian Peterson despite his $7.5 million salary and the fact he turns 32 in July and is coming off a down season with 4.5 sacks. The coaches say he will be a steadying influence playing alongside second-year starters Zach Follett and DeAndre Levy Running low on time today, i’ll be back tomorrow hopefully with some more news. |
